This policy explains what personal information Gear Edge collects, why, and the choices you have. Gear Edge is responsible for your personal data. You can contact us about it at support@gearedge.shop.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number (optional) and the items you buy.
- Checkout emails: if you type your email address at checkout but don’t complete your order, we may save it to send you a reminder about your cart. You can unsubscribe from these reminders at any time.
- Messages: what you send us through our contact form or by email.
- Reviews: your name, review and any photos you choose to submit.
- Technical data: cookies and similar data needed for the shop to work, such as your cart, plus information about how you found our site (for example the referring website or campaign).
How we use it
- To process, print, ship and support your order, and to send order and shipping emails.
- To answer your questions and handle returns.
- To send cart reminders and, only if you agree, marketing emails.
- To keep the shop secure and to understand and improve how it is used.
- To meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records.
If you are in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (orders), our legitimate interests (security, improving the shop, cart reminders), your consent (marketing and non-essential cookies), and legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with the companies that help us run the shop:
- Printful, which prints and ships your order (name, address, phone, order contents).
- Delivery carriers, to deliver your parcel.
- Payment providers, which process your payment. We never see or store your full card details.
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the website and its data.
Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We never sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies that are essential for the shop to work (for example to remember your cart and keep checkout secure) and a cookie that records how you arrived at our site so we know which campaigns work. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Email addresses saved for cart reminders are kept only for a limited time if no order is placed. Messages are kept as long as needed to help you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. California residents can ask what personal information we collect and request deletion; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising. To make a request, contact us or email support@gearedge.shop. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our shop is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
